अमेरिका-रशिया चर्चेपूर्वी सेन्सेक्स, निफ्टी रेंजबाउंड 

14 ऑगस्ट रोजी गुंतवणूकदार अमेरिका-रशिया युद्धबंदी चर्चेतील अपडेट्सची वाट पाहत असताना सेन्सेक्स आणि निफ्टी एका मर्यादित श्रेणीत होते.

14 ऑगस्ट रोजी दुपारच्या व्यापारात भारतीय बेंचमार्क निर्देशांक, सेन्सेक्स आणि निफ्टी, एका मर्यादित श्रेणीत होते कारण गुंतवणूकदार अमेरिका-रशिया चर्चेपूर्वी सावध राहिले होते, ज्यामुळे संभाव्य युद्धबंदीबद्दल अपडेट्स मिळू शकतात. India VIX वर गेला, तर व्यापक बाजारपेठेतील क्रियाकल्प मंदावले.

शेवटच्या वेळी, सेन्सेक्स 57.75अंकांनी किंवा 0.07 % टक्क्यांनी वाढून 80597.66 वर बंद झाला आणि निफ्टी 11.95 अंकांनी किंवा  0.05 % टक्क्यांनी वाढून  24631.30 वर बंद झाला. बँक निफ्टी 160.40 किंवा 0.29% वाढवून 55,341.85 वर बंद झाला.

भारताने रशियन तेल खरेदी केल्यामुळे ट्रम्प यांनी गेल्या आठवड्यात भारतीय वस्तूंवर अतिरिक्त 25 % कर लादला, ज्यामुळे अमेरिकेला होणाऱ्या भारतीय निर्यातीवरील एकूण कर 50 % वर आला.

गेल्या आठवड्यात पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी म्हणाले की, भारत आपल्या शेतकरी, मच्छीमार आणि दुग्ध क्षेत्राच्या हिताशी कधीही तडजोड करणार नाही आणि गरज पडल्यास वैयक्तिक किंमत मोजण्यास तयार असल्याचे त्यांनी जाहीर केले.

गुरुवारी जाहीर झालेल्या सरकारी आकडेवारीनुसार, भारतासह व्यापारी भागीदारांवर राष्ट्राध्यक्ष डोनाल्ड ट्रम्प यांनी केलेल्या कर घोषणांपूर्वी माल निर्यातीत वाढ झाली असली तरी, आयातीत वाढ झाल्यामुळे जुलैमध्ये भारताची व्यापार तूट झपाट्याने वाढली.

जुलैमध्ये व्यापार तूट 27.35  अब्ज डॉलर्स होती, जी अर्थशास्त्रज्ञांच्या 20.35 अब्ज डॉलर्सच्या अपेक्षेपेक्षा जास्त होती आणि मागील महिन्यात 18.78 अब्ज डॉलर्स होती. जुलैमध्ये वस्तूंची निर्यात 37.24 अब्ज डॉलर्सवर पोहोचली, जी जूनमध्ये 35.14 अब्ज डॉलर्स होती, तर आयात 64.59 अब्ज डॉलर्सवर पोहोचली, जी मागील महिन्यात 53.92 अब्ज डॉलर्स होती, असे आकडेवारीवरून दिसून आले.

Indian benchmark indices, Sensex and Nifty, were in a narrow range in afternoon trade on August 14 as investors remained cautious ahead of US-Russia talks, which could provide updates on a possible ceasefire. India VIX rose, while broader market activity slowed.

At last count, Sensex was up 57.75 points, or 0.07%, at 80597.66 and Nifty was up 11.95 points, or 0.05%, at 24631.30. Bank Nifty closed up 160.40 points, or 0.29%, at 55,341.85.

Clarity on next round of US-India trade talks by end of August : Commerce Secretary

Trump last week imposed an additional 25% tax on Indian goods over India's purchase of Russian oil, taking the total tax on Indian exports to the US to 50%.

Last week, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that India will never compromise on the interests of its farmers, fishermen and dairy sector and declared that it is ready to pay a personal price if necessary.

Although goods exports increased before President Donald Trump's tax announcements on trading partners, including India, India's trade deficit widened sharply in July due to a surge in imports, according to government data released on Thursday.

The trade deficit in July was $27.35 billion, higher than economists' expectations of $20.35 billion and $18.78 billion the previous month. Exports of goods reached $37.24 billion in July, up from $35.14 billion in June, while imports reached $64.59 billion, up from $53.92 billion in the previous month, the data showed.
