The Centre May Soon Implement The Revised New Tax Slabs Of GST

The Group of Ministers working on the Centre's GST reform proposal had last week approved the Centre's insistence on simplifying the slab tax system. In line with this, the Group of Ministers (GoM) on August 21 has accepted the proposal to abolish the existing 12% and 28% tax and introduce a dual tax structure of 5% and 18%. The notification of the council's decision is expected in five to seven days.

The GST Council, chaired by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, will meet in New Delhi on September 3-4 to discuss the Centre's proposal for a simplified dual tax structure of 5% and 18%.

The government is likely to see a decline in sales in key sectors and the Centre may press for GST implementation to allay state governments' fears of potential revenue loss due to the cuts.

The Centre may soon revise the Goods and Services Tax to boost demand in the economy.

Also, Reserve Bank Governor Sanjay Malhotra is very optimistic about the India-US trade talks. He feels that the India-US tariff dispute will be resolved through positive talks and the increased tariffs imposed by the US will not have much impact on the Indian market as the country has enough foreign exchange reserves to cover eleven months of imports.

The stock market started the week on a positive note today as Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell hinted at a US interest rate cut, which created a positive sentiment in the market and the Nifty50 closed below 25000.

The indices retreated slightly from the day's highs and closed at 81635.91, up 329.06 points or 0.40%, while the Nifty50 closed at 24967.75.

The resistance level of 25000 is important for the Nifty to move up, while the resistance level of 82000 is important for the Sensex to move up. If both these indices stabilize at their resistance levels for some time, there is a possibility of further rise in the market.

केंद्राच्या जीएसटी सुधारणेच्या प्रस्तावावर काम करणाऱ्या मंत्र्याच्या गटांनी गेल्याच आठवड्यात स्लॅब कर प्रणाल सुलभ करण्याच्या केंद्राच्या आग्रहाला मान्यता दिली होती त्या अनुषंगाने 21 ऑगस्ट रोजी जिओएम ने विद्यमान बारा टक्के आणि 28% कर रद्द करण्याचा आणि पाच टक्के आणि 18% या दुहेरी कर रचनेचा प्रस्ताव स्वीकारला आहे परिषदेच्या निर्णयाच्या पाच ते सात दिवसात अधिसूचना अपेक्षित आहे. 

5% आणि 18% च्या सोप्यात दोन कर रचनेच्या केंद्राच्या प्रस्तावावर चर्चा करण्यासाठी अर्थमंत्री निर्मला सीतारामन यांच्या अध्यक्षतेखाली जीएसटी परिषदेची तीन ते चार सप्टेंबर रोजी नवी दिल्ली येथे बैठक होणार आहे.

मुख्य क्षेत्रांमध्ये विक्री घटन्याची शक्यता सरकारला आहे आणि कपातीमुळे उद्भवणाऱ्या संभाव्य महसूल तोट्याबद्दल राज्य सरकारची भीती दूर करण्यासाठी केंद्र सरकार जीएसटी अंमलबजावणीसाठी  दबाव आणू शकते.  

अर्थव्यवस्थेतील मागणी वाढवण्यासाठी केंद्र सरकार वस्तू आणि सेवा कर लवकरात लवकर सुधारणा करू शकते.

तसेच रिझर्व बँकेचे गव्हर्नर संजय मल्होत्रा हे भारत आणि अमेरिका व्यापार चर्चेबद्दल प्रचंड आशावादी आहेत त्यांना असे वाटते की भारत अमेरिका टेरिफ वाद सकारात्मक चर्चेने सोडवला जाईल आणि अमेरिकेने लावलेल्या वाढीव तेरी वर भारतीय बाजारात तेवढा परिणाम होणार नाही कारण देशाजवळ परकीय चलन साठा अकरा महिन्यांच्या आयातीसाठी पुरेसा आहे.

स्टॉक मार्केटमध्ये आज आठवड्याची सुरुवात सकारात्मक झाली कारण फेडरल रिझर्वचे अध्यक्ष जेराम पावेल यांनी अमेरिकन व्याजदराच्या काटोतीच्या दिशेने इशारा दिला त्यामुळे बाजारात एक सकारात्मकता निर्माण झाली आणि निफ्टी 25000 च्या व जाऊन त्याच्या आसपास खाली बंद झाला.

निर्देशांक दिवसाच्या उच्चांकडून थोडा मागे आला आणि बंद होताना सेन्सेक्स 329.06 किंवा 0.40% वाढून 81635.91 बंद झाला तर निफ्टी 97.65 अंकांनी किंवा 0.41% वाढून 24967.75 वर बंद झाला.

 निफ्टी वर जाण्यासाठी 25000 हा रजिस्टन्स महत्त्वाचा आहे तर सेन्सेक्सला वर जाण्यासाठी 82000 हा रेजिस्टन्स महत्त्वाचा आहे. हे दोन्ही इंडेक्स जर त्यांच्या रजिस्टंट वर काही काळ स्थिरावले तर मार्केटमध्ये अजून जास्त तेजी येण्याची शक्यता आहे.
